Results for th e word “ch urch ” have been divided by the "0" and "1" baseline measure (see the last two blog posts), th us h igh ligh ting th e parts of North America in wh ich mentions of th e word “ch urch ” are over- and under- represented. Interestingly, wh ile th e “bible belt” in th e ph ysical world is often talked about as being synonymous with th e American South , th e virtual “bible-belt” additionally incorporates large parts of th e Midwest . Less surprising is th e fact th at th e North east and th e West h ave relatively low scores. Th e GeoWeb is in many ways a mirror (albeit a distorted one) of th e ph ysical places th at it represents.
